It’s been such a long time…

Almost 3 years ago I started this blog with the intention of documenting my journey into mobile living. However, due to experiences I’ve had in the last 2 years the idea of compartmentalizing this to just one topic with a few sides became ludicrous. It just wasn’t possible to focus on the topic at hand when I was being distracted by many other variables.

Now that I’ve had some experience as a snowbird I have a better idea what direction I want to go in and I can definitely tell you that a lot of the posts I make will be geared towards those with disabilities. I’m going to try very hard not to cookie cutter this.

My first year as a snowbird was a lesson in frustration and damn near soul crushing. I quickly realized that all those color glossy brochure type videos describing how wonderful the mobile lifestyle was had nothing even remotely related to what I was experiencing. There are a lot of blogs out there and a lot of videos. I’m going to bring reality back especially for those who have life affecting disability. And if you’re affected with BPD I’m going to be very real about this.

I might be awhile but stay tuned…

  1. Glad you weren’t a victim of Tremors 😉 I have retired and am moving permanently to the Southwest this summer. To a trailer. Apostolic poverty for me. Isn’t BPD normal? Or am I just being a high-functional autist? Been busy, over 31K posts on the website I went to after leaving Armageddon.

    1. Hi Baruch! Sorry about that! I’ve been very busy working on my move to the southwest! I’d love to catch up sometime! I’m in Quartzsite every winter. I’m hanging in there. No BPD isn’t normal. Because of it I “check out” for sometimes long periods of time but I have been working on content and a new discussion board while “away”. Glad you are enjoying retirement!

I’m very glad you posted. I had comments shut off and now I know they aren’t! I’ll leave them on for now but a spammer has already tried. >.<
